About LRPA

LRPA began in 1975 in an effort to provide Psychologists in the London area with a local professional identity. Today, LRPA continues to support a unique culture of Psychology within the London area. Although the constellation of area psychologists may have changed in the past 40 years, the continued goal of LRPA is to provide practitioners of Psychology opportunities for professional development and socialization with like-minded professionals.

As a member of LRPA, Psychologists, Psychological Associates and Psychology trainees enjoy the following benefits:

  • Options for ongoing professional development through talks and presentations provided by LRPA members and invited guests (3 - 4 such events each year; fee included in annual dues)
  • Professional networking and mentorship with other LRPA members
  • Support for the specific training and registration needs for individuals new to the Psychology profession through the Early Career Psychology (ECP) program; includes ECP-only events
  • Access to the LRPA Practitioner Directory and the ability to post a private-practice listing for a nominal annual fee
  • Access to the Members-only portion of the website, including the ability to view and download past presentation material and resources
  • Notification of employment opportunities in the London area relevant to Psychology practitioners
